Tolyawekka Safety

Child Safety Standards

Effective date: May 2024

Tolyawekka is a community sharing and support platform built on trust, generosity, and neighborly connection. We are committed to maintaining a safe environment for all users, with a specific zero-tolerance policy toward the exploitation or endangerment of minors.

1. Prohibited Content and Conduct

Our safety standards strictly forbid:

  • The sharing, transmission, or posting of any imagery or text that exploits or endangers minors.
  • The use of the Tolyawekka chat system or Community Hub to solicit inappropriate contact with minors (grooming).
  • Any behavior that facilitates the physical, emotional, or sexual abuse of a child.

2. Reporting Mechanisms

To ensure a fast response to potential threats, Tolyawekka provides several ways to report safety concerns:

  • In-App Reporting: Users can use the "Report" button on any item post, community hub message, or private chat thread to flag unsafe content.
  • Panic Button: During active transactions, the "Panic" feature allows users to immediately report safety issues and cancel interactions.
  • Direct Email: Reports can be sent directly to our safety team at greenccx4@gmail.com.

3. Moderation and Enforcement

All safety reports involving minors are treated with the highest priority:

  • Rapid Review: Reports are reviewed by our team within 24 hours.
  • Permanent Bans: Any account found violating child safety standards will be permanently banned and all associated data archived for legal review.
  • Law Enforcement Cooperation: Tolyawekka complies with all legal obligations to report suspected child exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant local law enforcement agencies.

4. Community Commitment

Tolyawekka is designed for local neighbors to share items and food. We encourage our community to stay vigilant. If you see something that doesn't feel right, report it immediately. Your actions help keep our neighborhood safe for everyone.
