  • In-app: open your profile/history screen and tap Delete.

Include the email address or sign-in name tied to your Tolyawekka account so we can identify the correct account.

When you delete your account, we remove your profile data and archive your shared items first. Some data may be retained for a limited time for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.

How we use data

  • To create and maintain Tolyawekka accounts and profiles.
  • To show active items, item details, map positions, pickup cues, and handover status.
  • To support optional location-based features only when you choose them, such as browsing from your current location, checking an item distance estimate, moving a map picker to your current location, or starting receiver navigation.
  • To let users browse by manually choosing an area and post items by manually selecting a pickup point on the map without granting location permission.
  • To power chat, community hub messages, reactions, and notifications.
  • To detect and handle safety issues, abuse, and account deletion requests.
  • To calculate retention, archive, and cleanup behavior for expired or deleted content.

How we share data

We do not sell your personal data.

We share data only with service providers and systems needed to run the app, including:

  • Firebase for authentication, database storage, and presence/chat synchronization.
  • Cloudinary for image uploads when you choose to upload a photo.
  • Expo Notifications / push services for device notifications.
  • Google Sign-In when you choose to sign in with Google.
  • OpenRouteService for route building and travel estimates on the transaction screen.
  • Google Maps for map display.

We may also share information if required by law, to enforce our policies, or to protect users and the service.

During an active pickup where the receiver starts navigation, the receiver's live location may be visible to the sharer so both sides can coordinate the handover.

Retention and deletion

  • Active item posts remain only for the selected sharing duration, then move into a terminal state and are cleaned up later.
  • Archived or deleted items are retained temporarily so they can appear in history and then are removed by cleanup rules.
  • Community hub messages are retained for a short period and then removed automatically.
  • Profile data remains until you delete your account or update it yourself.
  • Reports may be retained for a reasonable period for safety, moderation, fraud prevention, or legal reasons.
